For Exterior Plants

• Soil: Same as indoor plants, always look to see what conditions it needs: full sun, partial sun, shade, well-draining soil, heavy clay-like soil, or sandy soil.

• Water requirements are very different for different plants. Some need lots of water, others need very little. Ideally try to use drought-tolerant plants, and remember that initially they will need regular watering. Succulents and cacti are great drought-resistant outdoor plants.

• Feed plants regularly with a good organic fertilizer. Adding compost to your soil will also make them healthier and help them to grow better.
